Please let me introduce myself! I am EdoZ, a lifelong home computer enthusiast who somehow never really left the 8-bit world behind.
Some years ago I was reading about SymbOS and was very surprised at what Prodatron, the creator of SymbOS, achieved with his multitasking operating system running on a simple Z80! A proper windowed, multitasking desktop, on the very same kind of chip that used to power my old MSX! This was like a dream to me. Then, after reading about SymbOS, I learned about SymStudio. Also a crazy impressive project, by Trebmint! It was a complete development suite for SymbOS that looked and felt like Microsoft Visual Studio! How on earth was that even possible on a Z80!? For your information, SymStudio has since evolved into Quigs, and you can read all about it on the Quigs page. |
